Hello

My name is Robbie Stilwell. I was born and raised on a small farm in Western NY. I began taking photos when I was in High School for my friend’s in the local Hardcore scene, and my mom’s dog rescue. I received my BFA in Professional Photographic Illustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

After college, I began researching and teaching myself the Wet Plate Collodion (tintype) process, as a means to slow down and be more intentional with my work. While most of my work is done through the tintype process now, I still love shooting digital and film, 35mm up to 8x10.

I currently reside in Nashville, TN with my very cute and small dog, Nora.
